2023 Crystal Palace Triathlon
The Crystal Palace Triathlon was brought back to life in 2005 by Crystal Palace Triathletes. All set within the grounds of Crystal Palace Park, with the swim in the National Sports Centre, bike on the old motor racing circuit, and run though the park, finishing in the athletics stadium.

NOTICE: Entries for the 2023 race will open on Sunday 22nd January at 4pm.
(Ages as at 31 December of the race year)
Adult Open Distance – age 17+
300m swim – 12 lengths in the 25m pool
20km bike – 9 laps of a closed road circuit in the park
5km run – 2 laps in the park, 11/2 Lap of Track

Adult Super Sprint Distance – age 20+
300m swim – 12 lengths in the 25m pool
11.5 km bike – 5 laps of a closed road circuit in the park
2.4km run – 1 lap in the park, 11/2 Lap of Track

Juniors – 17-19 years – If contending in the London Series
300m swim – 12 lengths in the 25m pool
11.5 km bike – 5 laps of a closed road circuit in the park
2.4km run – 1 lap in the park, 11/2 Lap of Track

Youths – 15-16 years
300m swim – 12 lengths in the 25m pool
11.5 km bike – 5 laps of a closed road circuit in the park
2.4km run – 1 lap in the park, 11/2 Lap of Track

TriStar 3 – 13-14 years
300m swim – 12 lengths in the 25m training pool*
6.7km bike – 3 laps of a closed road circuit in the park**
2.4km run – 1 lap in the park, 11/2 Lap of Track

TriStar 2 – 11-12 years
150m swim – 6 lengths in the 25m training pool*
4.5km bike – 2 laps of a closed road circuit in the park**
2km run – 1 lap in the park, 1/2 Lap of Track

TriStar 1 – 9-10 years
150m swim – 6 lengths in the 25m training pool*
2.2km bike – 1 lap of a closed road circuit in the park**
1.2km run – Out and back plus 1/2 Lap of Track

TriStart – 8 years
50m swim – 2 lengths up and down swim in the 25m training pool. (6 Tristart’s start at the same time, each in their own lane)*
1km bike – 1 lap of a closed circuit in the park
600m run – Up indoor track, towards registration, through transition onto track ¾ of track to finish.

* Please ensure your child is confident of completing the swim distance
** The laps on the bike course are tough as it involves climbing the hill multiple times and descending at the other side of the park. Please ensure your child is confident and able to complete the course before entering them.
