Our Committee
Stuart Williams
Chairman
I initially joined Crystal Palace Triathletes as a parent, but quickly found it was such a fun and friendly sport and club that I joined. I enjoy the varied training and race opportunities as well as meeting such a variety of people with different abilities and goals.
As the chairman I help the rest of the committee deliver a great experience for all of our members and to carry on the success of the last 30 year.

John Petrides
Club Welfare Officer & Race Organiser
John Petrides is the Crystal Palace Triathletes welfare officer for adults and juniors.
If you are not sure if your concern is a welfare issue, please contact me and we can talk about it.
From my picture you’ll probably recognise me as the Crystal Palace Triathlon event organiser, so if you want to talk about any concerns you have you can talk to me there.
I am also an International Technical Official for World Triathlon so should be able to give you information on BTF or World Triathlon rules.

Sam Vardy
Junior Co-ordinator
Sam is our junior coordinator and assists with all queries relating to our younger members and juniors looking to join the club.
Sam’s two children are regulars at training sessions. More of a runner than a triathlete himself these days, Sam says he’ll likely return to triathlon “when my knees have gone”!
Outside of CPT, Sam is a lawyer, trustee of the charity Disability Sports Coach, and run director at Hilly Fields Junior Parkrun.

Siobhan Carroll
Coach Co-ordinator
I’ve been at CPT coming up three years and in that time attended a lot of training sessions, competed (completed) in a few races and hope to do a couple more this year.
My role as coach co-ordinator at CPT is to liaise with the coaching team, Bike/Run/Swim coordinators and the committee to ensure the delivery of the training plan for the adult and junior members of the club. Members should also feel they can also come to me to discuss ideas they have around training and delivery that can be shared with both the committee and coaches.
Brigit Brown
Run Co-ordinator
Brigit manages the club’s running affiliations and helps rally members for the many running events we take part in each year. She also leads our Thursday night run sessions, guiding members through warm-ups, intervals, and hill reps on scenic routes around Crystal Palace Park.
Susan Fairfax
Cycle Co-ordinator
Suse leads all things cycling at CPT, from managing club affiliations to organising weekend rides and encouraging greater bike confidence—particularly among the club’s female members. She’s a driving force behind getting more riders out on the rolling hills of Kent, especially on Sunday mornings.
A passionate racer, Suse regularly competes in triathlons of all distances—from sprint events right through to long-course challenges.
Andrew Coley
Marketing & Communications
Andrew has been part of the club since 2021 after racing the CP Triathlon and Duathlon in 2019 and 2021.
He has been racing multisport events since 2012 and has done many duathlon and triathlon events.
Andrew’s role on the committee is to promote what we do as a club on social media. He also manages some of the communications with members and helps to promote the iconic Crystal Palace Triathlon.
His favourite thing about the club is the friendliness of the members and the ability to get involved in club champs, team relays, charity events and so much more!
Jamal Dayes
Webmaster
Jamal has been with CPT since 2020 and is the clubs Webmaster looking after the clubhouse booking systems, helping to onboard new members and supporting the Race Committee with the annual race registrations.
Jamal is a keen racer over middle distance and long course events.
